Panini Digital Soccer Project: The Panini Digital Division was established in 2000 upon Panini’s acquisition of Digital Soccer Project srl, based in Brescia, northern Italy and subsequently renamed Panini Digital. The Division uses voice-activated software to capture relevant real-time statistics on over 150 movements that a soccer player makes during the course of a game. This statistical data can be aggregated in a variety of ways to provide tabular or graphical analyses and comparison of teams and individual players. As an example, the software can provide a graphical display indicating which player made the most passes and to whom, which parts of the playing field a player was most active in, and various other types of analyses on a real-time basis. This statistical data is then sold to soccer teams, players' agents, media outlets, betting companies, and video game companies who include this data in the development of their games.
New Media: New Media creates and manages Panini’s interactive websites and mobile applications, including institutional country websites and specific product or initiative websites (over 100 in total). The Group develops revenue opportunities from additional on-line channels by supplying content, and through partnerships with major FMCG companies.
Apps: Panini has a range of exciting revenue-generating apps for consumers based on sports. They include digital card collecting apps as well as game apps.
